Change the pattern,
change your body
The Movement Studio is where we integrate and connect the hands-on work to day-to-day, functional movement and/or a physical goal.
Pilates
Developed by Joseph Pilates over 60 years ago, this method remains one of the most intelligent systems for realigning the body and building postural strength.
We use the Pilates equipment not just for “exercise,” but as a tool for neuromuscular re-education. Through guided movement and, when appropriate, hands-on cueing, we help restore communication between parts of the body that have gone offline due to pain, habit, or injury. Once those connections are re-established, they’re integrated into everyday movement patterns.
You’ll benefit if you’re working with:
• Scoliosis
• Pre- or post-natal changes
• Pelvic floor instability
• Lower body asymmetry
• Foot or ankle pain
Gait Training
We use the CoreAlign, developed by Balanced Body, to help you rediscover a more natural, efficient way of walking. Every step we take reflects years of accumulated patterns—often shaped by injury, surgery or compensation.
Drawing from the principles of fascial chains and structural integration, sessions often blend hands-on work with active retraining.
You’ll benefit if you’re working with:
• Post-injury compensation patterns
• Lower-body asymmetry
• Hip and knee alignment issues
• Pelvic floor or core instability
• Balance and proprioceptive challenges
Functional Strength sessions bridge the gap between rehabilitation and long-term resilience. Using free weights, cable systems, resistance bands, balance tools, and bodyweight movement, we focus on building the stability, strength, and coordination that support real-life movement—lifting, reaching, bending, carrying, and everything in between.
This work often complements bodywork or Pilates sessions. We identify movement patterns that are underdeveloped or overcompensating, then use targeted strength training to reinforce better alignment, control, and joint stability.
Grounded in biomechanics, breath, and thoughtful progression, this training cultivates strength that supports longevity, confidence, and ease—through perimenopause, post-rehab phases, and every stage of life.
You’ll benefit if you’re working with:
• Post-rehab strengthening needs
• Core, shoulder, or hip stabilization
• Joint hypermobility
• Perimenopausal strength loss or fatigue
• General movement retraining
